FEBRUARY 28, 2018
Art entered will be printed in Pique: Fort Wayne Art & Culture, displayed on piquefortwayne.com, and printed/hung at the release party in April 2018.
All artists, any age above 16, residing in Fort Wayne, Indiana or its surrounding cities are eligible. All work should have been completed within the last two years and may be any medium (including, but not limited to printmaking, painting, graphic design, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, or fiber art). There are a limited number of spots available.
All works of art must fit under the theme “Into The Wild.” This includes work inspired by the 1996 non-fiction book by Jon Krakauer, the 2007 movie adaptation of the book, or themes and imagery inspired by the title. Some things that come to mind when we think of this storyline: wilderness, freedom, adventure, self-knowledge, disinterest in material goods, etc.
Submissions must be emailed or sent via a transfer website to the team at firstname.lastname@example.org. Name the email subject “Into The Wild.” The file can be sent as .ai, .psd, .jpg, .pdf, or .tiff. The image must be at least 300ppi and the smallest size acceptable is 8”x10”. Because this electronic copy of your work will be printed, it must be high-quality, and it must be a good photographic representation of your work of art. If your work is 3-dimensional please photograph it on a clean background.
The team at Pique: Fort Wayne Art & Culture will judge your work based on the theme, eligibility, and entry quality.
By entering works of art into this call for entry you grant permission to Pique: Fort Wayne Art & Culture to reproduce any portion of the artwork submitted for the purpose of promotional use in print or publications which can include but is not limited to, magazines, books, cards, calendars, invitations and websites without any compensation given. Recognition will always be given to artist.
